As this year takes another stride, the school once again celebrates its annual Founding Anniversary. The Field Demonstration of Grades 1 to 6 took place at the school’s covered court on the 28th of November during the third day of the 19th Foundation week from 7:00 to 11:30 am, wherein they showcased their talent as they execute their moves in front of the exhilarated audiences with this year’s theme: “Solid Foundation, Strong Collaboration”.

The Champion’s of this year’s Foundation week were the Grade 2 of the Primary department and the Grade 6 of Intermediate Department. As for the 1st place of both department were the Grade 1 of Primary and Grade 5 of Intermediate and lastly the 2nd place who also gave their best were the Grade 3 of Primary and Grade 4 of Intermediate.

All the grade level were very artistic as they were capable of producing a variety of concepts under one given theme and an additional topic of environmental awareness with a maximum of 10 minutes. The program started with Ms. Bernadette Lozada introducing the judges. The judges, Layla Barnal, Julius Alfarez, and Kate Florentino. Followed by the reading of mechanics and criteria by Ms. Sally Tolentino.

The Primary students could be seen with smiling faces as they made their way through the court with their creative and festive costumes that matched their chosen festivals. The first performers were the Grade 3 representing the “Panagbenga Festival” where season of blooming is celebrated, followed by the Grade 2 with “Pintaverde Festival” showing environment-friendly celebration, and lastly the “Pintaflores Festival” presented by the Grade 1 which depicts the fusion of arts and nature. The performances felt like traveling back to the Philippines with all the distinctive colors and refreshing smiles as they performed.

After the performances of the Primary Department, it was time for the Intermediate department to shine and show their sportsmanship. As for this theme, the intermediate students could be seen wearing resourceful costumes yet very eye catching with how they transitioned plain materials into something amazing through the use of recycling. The goal of the intermediate was to showcase the art in Calisthenics and Rhythmic Gymnastics, and failure was not in their options to give. Their Performance was able to portray that message and it is truly wonderful.

According to Ms. Bernadette C. Lozada, a chief in the Intermediate level “Field demo is for the students to achieve Physical Fitness at the same time to open their minds about the environment and boost self-confidence”. As quoted by one of the Chief of the Primary Department, Ms. Aileen D. Banawa “It was not only for entertainment, but also an emphasis on the preservation of the environment”.
