The PISQians rocked the stage yet again with their astounding dancing skills. With the celebration of the school’s 17th founding anniversary, the hip-hop dance competition took place in the campus’ covered court. The students prepared their own unique execution of the genre. Needless to say, they delivered impressive performances to the audience. It was obvious on every performer’s face that they felt exhilarated. And even though it was quite a tiring day for them as they moved to upbeat music, the faces of enjoyment definitely outweighed the exhaustion.
The champions of this year’s hip-hop competition were the Lil Beat Blasters from the Pre-school Level, Techno Force from the Primary Level, Emerge from the Intermediate Level, Mini Dream Catchers from Junior High School Level, and Shinobi from Senior High School. Despite only having one winner in each department, every PISQian shined on that stage. James Vincent Omar Omaña, a member of Shinobi, said that “dancing in the competition was gratifying despite adversities that came our way,”. Not only was the competition entertaining, the audience was very engaged with the performances, especially with the modern music that the dancers used. The crowd roared as the winners of each department were announced. At this point, pictures and videos were taken and cheers rang in everybody’s ears.
Yes, the PISQians did it once again. They prepared, delivered, and impressed each and every one of us. And they will do it again next year.
